Social Media Strategist

The Social Media Strategist focuses on client strategy development as it relates to social media, execution, and mentorship of junior social team members. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing social media strategies, adherence to Fathom’s POV and Social Media Best Practices, revenue growth through add-on opportunities with current clients, and positive and energizing contribution to the Fathom culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of social media strategy for clients understanding not only social media goals, but also more importantly overall marketing goals and client business goals.
  • Set social media strategy and see through to execution at the channel level
  • Develop testing plan strategies to drive continual optimization towards business goals and social media channel KPIs
  • Effectively communicate plans and set expectations internally and with the client
  • Connecting social media results and data analysis to business goals in order to innovate leading edge solutions for the client
  • Mentorship of social media specialists
  • Ongoing responsibility to learn new networks, tactics and guidelines in social media.
  • Execute social media activities driven from the client’s goals and the overall client strategy the entire account team is working on. Social networks include but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
  • Conduct social media audits understanding the best ways to optimize social media presence
  • Develop content calendars for social media content based on Brand Editorial Calendars
  • Conduct social media listening keyword-based research and provide business-level reporting

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Advertising or related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media profiles
  • Demonstrated social and digital communications expertise and driving results as it relates to ROI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership in previous positions
  • Ability to make strategic and thoughtful decisions quickly
  • High energy and proactive attitude; self-starter
  • Strong ability to multi-task and execute against multiple deadlines
  • Experience in conducting social media listening research and reporting
  • Additional experience with social media app development tools is appreciated

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within healthcare, education, and/or ecommerce verticals
  • Prior experience developing client messaging for social platforms
  • Experience with social media publishing and tracking platforms such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Kenshoo, Sysomos, or other similar platforms
  • Experience with website tracking software such as Omniture or Google Analytics
